Adhesive PR has won the tender for the Singapore Tourism Board following a competitive pitch that included 13 Australian PR agencies.

The announcement:

18 July 2013 ? Independent consumer PR Agency Adhesive PR, has won the tender for Singapore Tourism Board, following a competitive pitch process that included 13 Australian PR Agencies. The two year contract encompasses Australia and New Zealand Public Relations Services, including ? idea generation, strategic counsel, social media strategy, media relations, crisis communications and event management.

Adhesive PR will support Singapore Tourism Board?s focus, to maintain top-of-mind awareness for Singapore and creatively communicate their Australian marketing campaign ? ?Get lost and find the real Singapore?. The campaign challenges Aussies to abandon preconceptions of the city and uncover unexpected and bespoke experiences across key pillars such as dining, pampering, shopping, nightlife and attractions.

Sharon Lam, Area Director, Oceania of Singapore Tourism Board, said: ?With our city constantly evolving and offering new experiences for visitors, we wanted to partner with a creative and innovative agency who could devise unique ways and ideas to get people to see the real Singapore they?re missing out on.

?Adhesive PR?s creative and strategic thinking was paramount and their full-service approach meant we could work with them from concept stage through to implementation.?

Adhesive PR Managing Director Mike Maurice said, ?With Singapore?s position right on our doorstop, many Australians think they ?know? Singapore, however many of their preconceptions are inaccurate or out of date. Adhesive PR?s role is to communicate just how much Singapore has changed and continues to do so, encouraging locals to ?get lost? and rediscover a myriad of bespoke experiences that have helped position the city-state as the jewel of Asia.?

?The Singapore Tourism Board is a fantastic win for Adhesive PR as it gives the agency the opportunity to work across a number of different disciplines encompassing media relations, social media strategy and events.?

Adhesive PR, which celebrated its 1st birthday in May of this year, offers their clients a full service approach, encompassing ?sticky idea generation? grounded in media relations, through to multi-channel implementation across; events, experiential, digital, content generation, stakeholder relations, blogger engagement and social media. Their Client base includes: Lynx (Unilever), Jim Beam, Spotify, McDonald?s, Trend Micro and Hoyts.

Texas Abortion Activists Scream and Shout One Last Time in Capitol Protest

by Steven Ertelt | Austin, TX | LifeNews.com | 7/18/13 11:12 AM

While Governor Rick Perry was signing the bill to ban late-term abortions and protect women?s health from shoddy abortion clinics, pro-abortion protestors screamed and shouted one last time.

As pro-life advocates attending the bill signing reporter on Twitter, some abortion activists were silently protesting while others were ?yelling? outside the bill signing auditorium. Perhaps former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson put it best when she pointed the abortion activists to the scoreboard and said the pro-life side is winning.

Meanwhile, Cecile Richards, the head of the Planned Parenthood abortion business, promised legal action against the bill.

Meanwhile, as usual, pro-life advocates were calm and collected while celebrating with Governor Rick Perry.

New evidence for warm-blooded dinosaurs

[unable to retrieve full-text content]A scientist in Australia has shown new evidence that dinosaurs were warm-blooded like birds and mammals, not cold-blooded like reptiles as commonly believed. The researchers argues that cold-blooded dinosaurs would not have had the required muscular power to prey on other animals and dominate over mammals as they did throughout the Mesozoic period.

NO FINS ALLOWED: 'Mermaid' violates Florida community's HOA rules

Posted by Scott T. Smith / CBS12 News
FISHHAWK RANCH, Fla. -- Eden Sirene moves with an almost "otherworldly" grace. Eden, better known as Jenna Conti, feels at home wearing her custom made silicon mermaid suit.

Conti says it makes makes children smile, it makes parents smile, it makes everybody happy becayse you don't expect to see a mermaid at the pool.

The problem is, the tale about her tail doesn't appear to have such a happy ending -- at least not yet. Monday, she learned from her community board that she cannot wear her outfit in the pools at Fishhawk Ranch. The Community Development District saying it's a safety concern, and that there's a "no-fin" policy. Rules are rules, they say.

Conti says tha her fin can't come flinging off in a pool like swim fin can, and it's not made of a hard plastic. However, that doesn;t seem to matter.

The Fishhawk Ranch Community Board Chairwoman Terrie Morrison says the board loves her intentions but it simply violates rules.

So it looks like this little mermaid won't be able to swim freely, but she says the silver lining is all the support she's received from the community. She says despite the setback, she still plans to reach her ultimate goal of swimming underwater at the Florida Aquarium. Perhaps then, this mermaid will find the fairytale ending.
